The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most extraordinary wildlife habitats. The 260 square kilometre crater floor creates a natural enclosure supporting dense populations of Big Five animals.
Often called Africa's 'Garden of Eden', the Ngorongoro Conservation Area shelters approximately 25,000 large mammals, including a stable population of black rhino — one of the best places to see them in Tanzania.
